Career
Shruthi started her career while working in the Malayalam film Agrajan in 1995 where she appeared in a guest role as Jancy. After that, she appeared in the Tamil film Maanbumigu Maanavan where she played the lead role of Priya. The film is based on the love story of two college students.

Shruthi started her career in the Tamil industry by working in the romantic television series Thendral as Thulasi Thamizharasan opposite Deepak Dinakar in 2009. She gained immense popularity for her performance in the period drama Thalattu as Isaipriya Vijayakrishnan produced by Shankar Venkataramanv.
Shruthi has won several awards such as Best Actress in the Tamil Nadu State Television Awards in 2010. She has also won the Best Couple award with Deepak in the Sun Kudumbam Awards in 2012.
