Stone Temple Pilots’ Guitarist Dean DeLeo Lands Felony DV Charge

Dean DeLeo is the latest celebrity to find himself in trouble with law enforcement.

New allegations have surfaced about the guitarist for rock band Stone Temple Pilots facing allegations of violence against his wife, Jenn DeLeo, during a recent argument. The dispute, it turns out, resulted in her being arrested and charged with domestic violence.

Although the DeLeo household has been reflectively calm for the past few years, tensions have returned. In this new twist, Jenn has accused Dean of having physical contact with her during an argument.

The drama began last month when the runner-up of the 1996 Elite “New Face” contest called police to report that her husband had left home drunk, claiming that he was driving under the influence.

It didn’t take long before officers found the musician, pulled him over and arrested him for DUI. While in custody, Jenn acted out a second time, calling the police alleging an argument between her and Dean, which led to a physical altercation before she left the house.

After the police took a domestic violence report from him and found enough evidence to book the “Stone Temple Pilot” producer for felony domestic violence, an emergency protection order was issued, ordering him to stay away from Jenn.

However, according to police sources, the 62-year-old violated the protection order a week and a half later by trying to contact the model. He later turned himself in for the violation and was later released.

In the midst of this ongoing drama, the New Jersey native filed for divorce from Dean. This will be his second divorce filing — the first was in 2018. Although they have since reconciled, it’s clear that the relationship remains tumultuous, with Dean telling TMZ:

“I look forward to making my voice heard at the appropriate time and place to address these allegations.”

Detailing Jenn’s early divorce, it was reported that she accused the “Seven Caged Tigers” entertainer of being abusive and drunk, causing her to fear for her life and that of their daughter, June.

The filing comes just days after the rocker made violent threats, confessed to cheating, and told his wife to leave the house, all in front of their then six-year-old baby girl.

She claims that Dean’s troubling behavior began in 2012, shortly after they walked down the aisle and greeted June. She argued that he began abusing alcohol and drugs, recounting an incident where he took their baby into the sea “when he was really drunk,” nearly drowning her.

According to legal documents, Jenn claims that a few months after the incident, the “Plush” artist had been drinking and physically assaulted her. He detailed that this happened after he found her passed out in the garage with the car running and the garage door closed.

The star of the “Glamour Magazine Diesel Adds L’oreal Hair” campaign later asserted that when she woke him up, he became angry, vomited, and then threw her, almost causing her death. Also, she claims that he has tried to strangle her several times over the years.

Deeper, the actress declared that Dean had abused his son from a previous marriage and threatened to kill his ex-wife, causing Dean to live in fear. He added that the “Church on Tuesday” singer’s unruly behavior had him and June walking on eggshells.

In the paper, she testified that her husband threatened to commit suicide if she left him, likening it to their personal friend, Chester Bennington, hanging himself. Dean allegedly assaulted Jenn again before Thanksgiving 2017 when she confronted him about his extramarital affair.

He stated that although he initially considered pressing charges, he held back to avoid ruining the vacation, a decision he later regretted. It’s worth noting that the 46-year-old is one of the film director James Toback accused of sexual misconduct, and he credits the #MeToo movement for giving him the authority to file for divorce.
