Student, 15, allegedly attacks teacher while hallucinating on drugs, leaving her with ‘severe brain injury’: cops

A 15-year-old Ohio high school student allegedly punched a teacher in the head while hallucinating on drugs – leaving him with a “severe brain injury” that required the removal of his helmet.

The Colerain High School student began acting “disoriented” after he “ingested an unknown drug” in a classroom Thursday, according to a police report cited by WLWT.

He allegedly punched the 60-year-old teacher in the head and caused a “severe brain injury that required extensive medical attention,” according to the Cincinnati Enquirer, citing a report of the incident.

The teenager is also accused of assaulting another 15-year-old student by grabbing him and pinching his neck, the newspaper reported.

The teacher was taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he had his helmet removed to prevent damage from the swelling, Fox 19 reported.

Police found the alleged assailant in the lobby of the school’s career center, where he appeared to be hallucinating and suffered a self-inflicted head wound, according to the outlet.

He was also taken to the hospital and then to the Hamilton County Juvenile Detention Center on a charge of felony assault.

Lyndsey Creecy, spokeswoman for the Northwest Local School District, said the school is investigating the incident.

“We ask that our parents join us in keeping both our staff and our students in your prayers,” said a letter from Colerain High School to parents.

The incident is still under investigation and the student will be subject to disciplinary action from the school district, police said.
