Students for Trump founder Ryan Fournier arrested, accused of using gun to strike a woman

Ryan Fournier, co-founder of Students for Trump, was arrested in North Carolina last week on charges that he hit a woman in the head with a gun, records show.

Fournier, 27, allegedly grabbed the woman by her right arm and struck her in the forehead with a Sig Sauer P229 9MM handgun, according to Johnson County magistrates.

The victim — identified by Axios as Fournier’s girlfriend — suffered minor injuries in the alleged attack.

Fournier was arrested on November 21 and faces two misdemeanor charges of assault on a female and assault with a deadly weapon.

He was released on $2,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 18.

Fournier co-founded the youth political group during former President Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign while he was a student at Campbell University.

Trump led a Students for Trump event at a Phoenix, Ariz. cathedral in June 2020.

Fournier now heads a group called Radical Alert, which proclaims to be “exposing” the hatred that has “taken over America’s college campuses.”

John Lambert, who co-founded Students for Trump with Fournier, was sentenced to 13 months in prison in May 2021 for posing as a lawyer to steal money from his victims.

Lambert pleaded guilty to wire fraud and was ordered to forfeit more than $46,000 and pay more than $21,000 in restitution to his victims.
