Suhail Chandhok is an Indian actor and TV presenter. He is a commentator with Star Sports and has hosted sports events like Cricket, Hockey, Football and Kabaddi. He is the son of Vicky Chandhok, multiple Indian rally champion and President of Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India. His brother, Karun Chandhok, is one of only two Formula 1 racing drivers from India.

Suhail did his schooling from the Sishya School in Chennai and went to the University of Adelaide, Australia, to pursue a double major in Management and Marketing (Commerce). Suhail Chandhok got married to Trishya Screwvala, daughter of Ronnie Screwvala (entrepreneur & philanthropist), on 19 January 2017 in a private wedding. The wedding was held at the Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai. It was followed by a reception at the Turf Club, Mahalaxmi Racecourse, which was attended by several celebrities and industrialists.
Career
Suhail started his career as a cricketer in 2009 playing in the Indian Premier League from the Royal Challengers Bangalore cricket team. He also played the Champions League Twenty20 in 2009. He played the game for two years, and later, resigned from the game due to an acute knee injury and several surgeries.
Having to give up his cricketing dream, Suhail, who was equally attracted to the camera, made a short film called ‘Johnny Vetrivel.’ He uploaded the video on YouTube which got quite a lot of attention.
His father shared the video link to South Indian actor Ajith Kumar, who suggested his name for a role in the Tamil film “Arrambam” (2013). After that, he appeared in the film “Veeram” (2014) as Kumaran.
In 2015, Suhail became a sports presenter and commentator on Star Sports. He has hosted sports events for many popular games like Cricket, Football, Hockey and Pro Kabaddi among others. On the cricket front, Chandhok has hosted events like “ICC World Cup 2015,” “ICC T20 WC 2016,” “ICC Champions Trophy 2017” for Star Sports and “Indian Premier League.” He has also presented several international events including the “2016 Rio Olympics,” the global “FIA Formula E Series” and the “French Open.”
Besides being a sports commentator and presenter, Suhail is also a public speaker. He has appeared as a public speaker on various platforms such as MRF, PUMA, TATA Motors, GQ India and Premier Futsal. Chandhok has also shared his written views on various sports topics in several publications.
