Arrested for running a sex racket
In April 2023, the Mumbai Police arrested Suman at a hotel in Goregaon, Mumbai. He was arrested for running a prostitution racket in Mumbai. He used to work as a middleman in providing girls to clients. According to sources, the social service branch of the police raided the hotel and busted the prostitution racket. Earlier, the police received information about the illegal activities taking place at the Royal Palm Hotel in Goregaon. As part of their plan, the police sent an officer posing as a customer to the hotel. Suman struck a deal with the fake client and told him that the charges for the model ranged from Rs 50000 to Rs 80000. Later, while speaking in the media, the local police shared that Suman used to target girls who came to Mumbai to search. work. He used to forcibly involve girls in his prostitution racket, and sometimes, he used to take advantage of their poor financial status. After arresting him, the Mumbai Police’s crime branch rescued three women from the hotel. The FIR against Suman was filed under the Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act (PITA).
