Supriya Shrinate was born on Thursday, 27 October 1977 (age 46 years; in 2023) in Mahrajganj, Uttar Pradesh. She completed her schooling at Loreto Convent in Lucknow in 1996. She obtained her graduate degree in political science, history and economics from Lucknow University in 1999. In 2001, she pursued her Masters in History at Lady Shri Ram College for Women, University of Delhi .

Supriya started her career as a special correspondent at Indian news channel India Today in October 2001, where she read news and proofread for three years till September 2004. She joined NDTV news channel as Assistant Editor in October 2004. She worked there for four years in news reporting, editing, script writing, etc. He became Editor-in-Chief at The Economic Times Channel, ET Now, Times of India Group, New Delhi, in September 2008. During his ten-year tenure at Economic Times Now, he worked as executive editor and policy editor.

Politicians
In April 2019, he left his job at ET Now news channel, and he contested the Indian general election from Maharajganj constituency, Uttar Pradesh on a ticket from the Indian National Congress party; he lost the election to Pankaj Choudhary of the Bhartiya Janta Party.

He was appointed as the spokesperson of the All India Congress Committee and participated in various televised debates. In the 2022 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, he was the main campaigner of the Indian National Congress. In May 2021, during a debate on news channel Aaj Tak, Supriya Shrinate called BJP minister Sambit Patra “do kaudi ke naali ke keede, arre chup ho ja naali ke keede… jhootha kahin ka.” They had a series of tweet fights when Sambit Patra posted on Twitter with the hashtag GaliWaliMadam.
