Surya Narayana is an Indian radio jockey and mime artist best known for his character ‘Konda Babu’ on TV9 Telugu.

Surya Narayana was born on Monday, April 1, 1991 (age 31 years; in 2022), and he hails from Rajahmundry, East Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh. He spent his childhood in Pasuvullanka and Bhimavaram. His zodiac sign is Aries. He continued his studies to a bachelor’s degree in Pasuvullanka. Later, he moved to Hyderabad. In an interview, she revealed that she was studying PG when she broke up and decided not to attend college anymore. After he left college, his friends sent his resume to the Red FM office without telling him. At first, he was not willing to attend the interview, but later, he thought that at least he had the opportunity to have lunch at the five-star Sheraton hotel, the audition venue. In the interview, he was asked to imitate many celebrities after which he was shortlisted in the top 50 out of 650 people. He passed the audition and earned and started working as a radio jockey at Red FM in Hyderabad. Although his East Godavari slang was not welcomed at first, he soon took to the culture and the language.

Radio Jockey
Early in his career, he once took on mimicry gigs for extra income. Apart from working as an RJ, he has also written comedy bits for various projects, one of which is Director AV Rao Comedy at 93.5 Red FM. In 2013, he started working at Red FM Telugu.

He not only hosts radio shows but also writes his own scripts. In an interview, he talked about writing the script and said,
Writing comedy is easy for me because I feel like that’s the only time I can go ahead and put my thoughts on paper as an audience without having to cater to a star or a company.”

In 2014, he appeared as a video jockey on Gemini Comedy television channel. In 2017, he was a mimic artist in the program ‘Mimicry Mela’ on Sakshi TV.
