As revealed by the Daily Mail, a technology executive named Nima Momeni has been arrested as a suspect in the death of the founder of Cash App. The 38-year-old Berkeley graduate was arrested by authorities at his home in Emeryville.
The businessman’s residence was about nine miles from where Lee was killed. Like the deceased, Momeni has ties to the technology industry as the owner of Expand IT, a technology business located in the Bay Area.
However, unlike the founder of the famous Cash App, the suspect’s online biography describes him as a “startup entrepreneur.” As mentioned above, Lee was stabbed on the street while visiting San Francisco for a technology conference.
At the time, it was not yet revealed if Momeni was at the same technology conference as the deceased. However, both were found in the suspect’s car at around 2.30am, a few moments before the businessman was attacked.
Police sources believe the couple had several confrontations that allegedly led to Lee’s untimely death. However, the truth about the terrifying ordeal remains a mystery. On the other hand, neighbors and acquaintances of the suspected killer claim that the 38-year-old man did not show any signs of violent behavior.
Sam Singer, a public relations expert, revealed that Momeni lives and works in a ‘luxury flagship loft’ in the Beslar Building in Emeryville. When he moved in, Singer noted that tech executives welcomed him.
“He was very, very welcoming, very nice,” the entrepreneur said. “He was quite, quite impressive, very good, so it shocked me as well as everyone in the building that he was accused of the murder.”
Despite his claims of sweetness, the founder of Expand IT is a possible suspect in the crime because Lee was attacked in his luxurious residence. The tech mogul’s death happened around 2:35 am. The 43-year-old man was found with multiple stab wounds following police response to a 911 call.

Authorities were called to the 300 block of Main Street near the high-rise entrance. Near the beach area, they found the father of two suffering from his injuries. Friends of the deceased confirmed Lee had visited the area on business, but he decided to stay back the day he was stabbed.
Shocked by the tech executive’s gruesome murder, Tesla CEO Elon Musk called out the San Francisco DA for failing to protect residents. He questions Brooke Jenkins about how she works to “incarcerate repeat violent offenders.”
Of Lee’s death, the billionaire said: “So sorry to hear. Many people I know have been severely assaulted. Violent crime in SF is horrendous, and even when the attackers are caught, they are often released immediately.”
Horrifying Video Shows Bob Lee Struggling For Help After Suffering From Stabbing Wounds
Days after the tech executive’s tragic death, CCTV footage obtained by the news channel captured the deceased’s final moments. The father of two’s life might have been saved if he had gotten help in time.
The security video showed the 43-year-old desperately calling for help as he staggered, clutching his bleeding wounds. Lee tried and repeatedly failed to enlist the help of passers-by, who sped off in their cars, oblivious to the figure beckoning them.

At the intersection of Harrison Street, the businessman stopped a car and appeared to be asking the driver for help. However, the unknown owner of the red vehicle drove off, leaving Lee stumbling toward the apartment building at 403 Main Street.
Before the former San Francisco resident could press the electronic intercom, he collapsed backwards, possibly from blood loss. The founder of the cash app remained motionless on the ground before regaining consciousness and fumbling for his phone.
According to reports, Lee managed to dial 911 and screamed, “Help! Someone stabbed me.” Unfortunately, when the authorities arrived, the tech executive could no longer be saved.
