He was trained by Dinesh Lad and Amol Muzumdar. In 2022, he made a double century and scored 252 runs on his debut in the Ranji Trophy quarter-final against Uttarakhand at Alur, Bengaluru. He played in place of injured Ajinkya Rahane during IPL 2022. He batted at No.4 in that match.

- Sudev started training at the age of eleven at the Mandapeshwar Civic Federation under the coach, Nagesh Thakur, who coached him for under-19 matches.
- In 2014, he played the Giles Shield final at the Cricket Club of India (CCI) and he made a century off 211 balls in that match. In that match, he hit fifteen-four. In an interview, he talked about this and said,
Now that I have scored a century, I hope to score two tons and blast through the day tomorrow. We have a wicket in hand and our target is to take a 200-run lead and get it out quickly.”

- His coach Dinesh Lad told his parents not to stop Suved from playing cricket as he was confident that he would do very well in cricket. He also suggested to his parents that learning can wait, and they can’t force him to learn. In an interview, his coach said again,
We always talk about attitude in cricket. Skills can be developed. With Suved, he has both. His attitude towards the game and the way he holds the bat, it comes naturally to him. Not many get the basics right even before they are trained. Since school days, once a set he is used to turn the start into a big knock. The level he has reached today is due to dedication. He is very sincere and I have never seen him miss a training session. In fact, he kept pushing me to run extra sessions.”
