Swastika married Promit Sen (singer), son of singer Rabindra Sangeet Sagar Sen, in 1998. Together, they have a daughter, Anwesha Mukherjee. The marriage was unhappy and lasted only two years. Swastika accused Sen of physically abusing her and harassing her when she was pregnant. Career
Swastika Mukherjee started her acting career in 2001 with the TV series “Devdasi.” Next, he appeared in the TV series “Ek Akasher Niche” and “Protibimbo. Mukherjee made his film debut in 2001 with the Bengali film “Hemanter Pakhi.” After that, he appeared in films like “Mastan,” “Criminals,” “Kranti, ” “Take One,” and “Saheb Bibi Golaam.”

- In 2000, when Swastika’s husband, Promit Sen, filed for divorce from her, Mukherjee accused him of cruelty and physical abuse. However, the actress later admitted that she had lied to the media just to get publicity. She also withdrew the case, which had been filed against her husband and in-laws.
- In 2014, Mukherjee attempted suicide and blamed it on her boyfriend, Suman Mukhopadhyay. Later, the police arrested her boyfriend at the time, Sumon Mukhopadhyay.
- In the same year, he courted controversy for stealing gold earrings worth Rs. 12139 in her handbag from a jewelery showroom in Singapore. The shop owner asked him to either pay for the jewelery or return it to its owner. She did not file a formal complaint against him.
- Before the release of Shibpur in April 2023, she accused the film’s producer, Sandeep Sarkar, of sexual harassment. In an interview, she said that Sandeep and his friends sent her threatening emails, asking her to cooperate.
