Sydney Sweeney recently revealed in an interview with Diversity that her breakthrough role in “Euphoria” presented some unexpected challenges regarding getting a part in “The White Lotus.”

According to Sweeney, casting directors associated her with the special and spoiled characters she played in “Euphoria” as Cassie Howard and “In the White Lotus” as Olivia Mossbacher.

As a result, it was challenging for him to audition for roles that deviated from this typical character type. She said, “There are always people who see me as Cassie or see me as Olivia. They sent me a script like that.”

However, Sweeney remains determined to pursue a diverse and distinctive role. He emphasized, “It’s what I have to fight for that is usually what I want to be different, like “Reality.” I had to audition for that. I had to put myself on tape and send in my audition just like everyone else.”

He also said, “They don’t pay actors like they used to, and with streamers, you don’t get a balance anymore.” Breaking down how his income is reduced, Sweeney added, “The big stars still get paid, but I have to give 5 percent to my lawyer, 10 percent to my agent, 3 percent or something like that to my business manager. I have to pay my publicity every month, and that’s more than my mortgage.”
