TJ Holmes and Amy Robach are reportedly unhappy with the success of “Good Morning America” in their absence.
The two, who were let go from the show months ago, are bitter that their co-host Lara Spencer has helped boost the show’s ratings. The ratings began to decline after their illicit relationship became public in December last year.
According to reports, Holmes and Robach have now taken it upon themselves to smear Spencer to their industry contacts.

The two previously co-hosted the show for years before being fired from the network following their illicit relationship, which hurt viewership ratings.
ABC then replaced Robach and Holmes with interim hosts for a while before choosing DeMarco Morgan and Eva Pilgrim permanently. Without Robach and Holmes, the show, whose ratings were down, has now skyrocketed, all thanks to Spencer.
However, this has been bad news for Robach and Holmes, who never expected the show to thrive without them.
“Amy and TJ loved hearing that GMA’s ratings were down after their departure, but to their dismay, Lara saved the day,” a source told the publication. “He’s more popular than they are, and the show has jumped to No. 1 in the ratings.”

In their hatred of Spencer, it is said that Robach and Holmes believe that the Emmy-winning anchor has been riding on their success all along.
This seems to contradict popular opinion which suggests that Lara’s friendly personality and brain quickly won over the audience and overcame any distractions they might have had about Robach and Holmes’ illicit relationship.
Now that Robach and Holmes are no longer at ABC, they seem to be trying to get back at Spencer in other ways.
According to the source, one of these included Spencer’s “mouthing off” to industry contacts every chance they got.
However, it seems that Spencer is not bothered by their actions and is currently enjoying the pay rise she received, possibly due to her excellent performance.

The beef between Robach and Spencer seems to have been going on for a long time, even before the latest report, per Caster style.
When news of Robach and Holmes’ relationship broke, leading to their suspension, it was rumored that Spencer had a hand in convincing the showrunners to eliminate the two.
“It wasn’t a delayed reaction — something happened and Amy blamed Lara,” said the source, who also claimed ABC had no problem with Holmes’ ratings and Holmes and Robach’s “GMA3: What You Need to Know” episode at the time.
The source also explained that Spencer possibly forcing the showrunner’s hand may be payback for Robach replacing veteran Robin Roberts in 2012, a position he wanted for himself.
“[Spencer] Furious that Amy is seen by the boss as Robin’s heir,” said the insider. “It was clear that Amy was going to be the one to take part. Lara wanted the show and never forgot it.”

Neither Robach nor Spencer have publicly confirmed if they are feuding. Meanwhile, it looks like the former will be back on the air.
Per Online Radar, he is close to signing a multi-million dollar deal with NewsNation that will allow him to host his own flagship show. The publication also reported that Robach and NewsNation executives have chosen a tentative show title, “Robach & Co.”
The show will reportedly be a “weekly talk or sit-down with different newsmakers and human interest stories around the world,” debuting in January next year.
While this may be good news for Robach, insiders have suggested that his potential colleagues are less than enthusiastic about his addition.
There is concern among them that his arrival has the potential to turn the network into a “dumping ground” for individuals with tainted reputations.
