Taapsee Pannu is an Indian actress and model who works mainly in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi films. He is among the few South Indian actors to have 7 releases in one year (2011). Taapsee came into limelight after playing the role of ‘Minal Arora’ in the Bollywood film “Pink.”

Taapsee Pannu was born on Saturday, August 1, 1987 (age 35 years; in 2022) in New Delhi. His zodiac sign is Leo.
He spent his childhood in Ludhiana, Punjab. Taapsee attended Mata Jai Kaur Public School in Delhi and went to Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Technology to pursue B.Tech in Computer Science. Taapsee was good at studies in her school and college days and wanted to make her career in mathematics. He actively participated in extracurricular activities during his school days.
While in college, Taapsee started participating in modeling competitions and gradually, started accepting various commercial modeling projects. He made several advertisements to manage his daily expenses. After completing her studies, Taapsee worked as a software engineer for some time.

Tapsee started her modeling career in 2004 by participating in the Channel V talent show Get Gorgeous. After that, he did many print and television commercials. - In 2012, after the Filmfare awards in Chennai, there were rumors that Taapsee was the cause of a fight between Kollywood actor Mahat Raghavendra and Tollywood actor Manchu Manoj.
- In September 2018, after the release of his film ‘Manmarziyaan’ (2018), some members of the Sikh Community objected to the smoking scene in the film by a Sikh character. As a damage control measure, the film’s producers deleted the objectionable scene. Taapsee Pannu, who was upset with the deletion of the scene reacted to the controversy with her tweet and angered people.
- In 2019, Taapsee was slammed on Twitter for tweeting about a man killing his 19-year-old girlfriend, in which she referred to Sandeep Vanga’s ‘slap’ interview. People called his sarcastic tweets insensitive.
- In March 2021, the Income Tax department found discrepancies and manipulations in income worth Rs. 650 crore after the raid on Anurag Kashyap, Taapsee Pannu, and Vikas Bahl. The raid was part of a tax evasion probe against Phantom Films, which was conducted at 30 locations in Mumbai and Pune on March 3, 2021. According to the IT department. officials, production house staff could not explain the discrepancy around Rs. 300 crore; moreover, the manipulation and undervaluation of Phantom Films share transactions among directors and shareholders of the film, which has tax implications of about Rs. 350 crores, officials also cited, and evidence of cash receipts by leading actresses amounting to Rs. 5 crores was also earned. Opposition parties slammed the raids and termed them retaliation by the Modi government against those who spoke against the government and supported the ongoing farmers’ protest.
- After she walked the ramp at Lakme Fashion Week 2023, a complaint was filed against her for hurting the religious sentiments of Hindus as she had worn a pendant featuring ‘Goddess Laxmi’ in a revealing outfit while walking the ramp.
