Tapsee started her modeling career in 2004 by participating in the Channel V talent show Get Gorgeous. After that, he did many print and television commercials. - In 2012, after the Filmfare awards in Chennai, there were rumors that Taapsee was the cause of a fight between Kollywood actor Mahat Raghavendra and Tollywood actor Manchu Manoj.
- In September 2018, after the release of his film ‘Manmarziyaan’ (2018), some members of the Sikh Community objected to the smoking scene in the film by a Sikh character. As a damage control measure, the film’s producers deleted the objectionable scene.
