When we got married 20 years ago, I would borrow a friend’s dress, but then my mom and I would go shopping and go to David’s Bridal. They have a store in Burlington, North Carolina, and they have these clothes racks that cost $99. So, I found a shirt.”

When asked by the publication their secret to a long and happy marriage, they agreed, it’s communication.
“Sometimes people hear communication and think, ‘Oh, that means talking.’ But sometimes, it means not talking. Sometimes it’s knowing when not to interrupt your partner, when to give them space when to just listen when to just be there for them,” he says. “Just learn how they need you to show up and communicate with them and how they need you to love them, not how you want to be loved.”
Tabitha added, “Be aware that we can be here today and gone tomorrow and love them like that, love your partner like that and protect them that way.”
