Tanishk Bagchi started his musical career as a composer with Vayu Srivastava as part of the musical duo “Tanishk-Vayu.” They composed music for TV shows like Dance India Dance and Thapki Pyar Ki.

  • In his free time, he likes to sing or play sports like football or cricket. He also likes to travel.
  • There is a tradition in his family that everyone has to choose their own surname. Kanishk’s father’s surname was Das, and he took “Bagchi,” his grandfather’s surname as his surname.

  • He gave his first performance on stage at his college party, where he sang the title song of the film “Dil Se” (1998) while playing the guitar. The crowd loved his performance and asked him to sing nine times at the event.
  • In 2000, he came to Mumbai to make his career in music. He began by taking small works for composition. He also worked for TV Channels and Bhajans as a ghost composer.
