Tanveer Bookwala started his career in 2005 as an associate creative head in a show titled Kya Kahein on Balaji Telefilm. She later worked on a talk show titled Kandy Floss. In 2009, he moved to Endemol Shine India and worked there for three years. In April 2012, he rejoined Balaji Telefilms and worked in different positions such as Associate Creative Head, Creative Head, Director, Chief Creative Officer (CCO), and Associate Vice President (AVP) of Balaji Motion Pictures.

He worked as a screenwriter and story writer for the 2014 film Ragini MMS 2, the 2016 film Azhar, the 2018 web series XXX: Uncensored, and the 2023 web series The Haunting, which he also directed. He has produced many films and web series including Kyaa Cool Hain Hum 3 in 2016, A Flying Jatt in 2016, Boygiri in 2017, The Great Dysfunctional Family in 2018, Rasbhari and Fittrat in 2019, Asur in 2020, Apharan in 2022, Asur Season 2 in 2023, and The Haunting in 2023.
