Actress Tara Reid opens up about her experience joining “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.”

Fox’s celebrity survival series is currently in its second season. The network teased “no votes” and “no eliminations” while saying the object of the show is “just survival.”

According to the network, at least one of the challenges will involve a celebrity drowning in a frozen lake while another will require contestants to make an emergency escape from a submerged helicopter in icy waters around New Zealand.

The “Days of Our Lives” alum, 47, called participating in Fox’s “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test” “one of the craziest experiences I’ve ever had.”

On Saturday, at the Angel Food Angel Project Awards, she told People magazine that filming the show in the mountains of New Zealand was “very difficult,” adding, “They call it ‘The World’s Toughest Test.’ [for a reason].”

Before he joined season 2, he watched season 1 and decided there was “no way” he was going to do it. However, he went on to say that the network “convinced” him to do it “at the last minute.”

The rushed time between him agreeing to take part in the show and the start of filming meant he “didn’t have the training like other people” so “it was harder” on him.

Tara Takes The Performance As An Opportunity To ‘Challenge’ Herself

While it may seem difficult to find celebrities willing to submerge themselves in an icy lake, the “American Pie” alum revealed that it was the physical and mental challenges of the competition that finally convinced her to join the show after spending a lot of money. time indoors due to the COVID-19 pandemic shutdown in 2020 and the recent SAG-AFTRA strike.

“I am in one place now [where] I want to do something like this,” he said before adding, “You’re at home so much in your own home, you get stressed.”

“So doing something like this is a great challenge for me and it’s an experience I’ll never forget and I won’t take it back. Even if you watch it, you’ll think I’m crazy,” he teased.

“You learn a lot about yourself on the show and other people and your own strengths,” she continued. “So it’s not just physical, it’s also mental in a lot of ways [but] I’m so glad I did.”

He also revealed that “one of the scariest things [was] thrown into a frozen river” from the “lots of tests” he went through while filming the show, citing the cold weather as one of his biggest challenges.

“It’s cold there,” he explained. “That’s the biggest part, I think, for almost everyone, how cold it is. Your brain can’t even function anymore.”

Other celebrities featured on this season of “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Trials” are “Vanderpump Rules” star Tom Sandoval and “Chrisley Knows Best” alum Savannah Chrisley, among others.
