The couple opened up about their challenging journey with conception during a recent appearance on “The Jennifer Hudson Show.” They openly shared their experiences, discussing their emotional struggles and the joy and fulfillment they now feel after welcoming their son, Tristan Jay.
The show’s host praised Heather’s radiating joy, to which she responded with heartfelt honesty, saying, “I’m happy. It was like a dream come true.” However, the conversation took an interesting turn when Hudson asked about Tarek’s children’s response to the new baby, to which he expressed delight, saying, “They’re so good.”
He then explained that they – especially Brayden – were very excited when they learned about their little brother’s upcoming arrival. The “Flipping 101” star shared how the 7-year-old is actively following Heather’s pregnancy progress, eagerly checking the app to find out about the baby’s size.
She recalled the little one’s actions jokingly, saying, “And Brayden, who’s seven, he tracked the whole pregnancy with Heather. So he comes home from school, runs in the house, ‘Can I see the app? How big is the baby? How big is the baby?’”
The model chimed in, revealing that she would rub her stomach and put her ear to her bump to listen to her little brother. The former actress is excited and content to be a mother, and she even goes on to credit her stepson for inspiring her desire to become a mother.
After she posted photos capturing moments from her epic “Winterland” baby shower, she made a separate post dedicated to her stepson, Taylor. In a series of photos, the expectant mother was captured on the first slide, walking hand-in-hand with the 12-year-old.
They were decked out in dazzling outfits and were all smiles as they made their way to the event. The 35-year-old showed off her elegance in a sparkly long dress with a long slit and matching heels, while her little girl looked cute in a blue mini dress.
The next slide focuses on close-ups of the two, like when the young teenager puts her hand on Heather’s baby bump and goes from a tight side hug to a warm, tight hug. In her caption, the TV star expressed her emotions, writing in part:
