Target faced backlash for “sexualizing” Christmas by releasing a line of LGBTQ+ holiday decorations — which included “Pride Santa” and “Pride Christmas Nutcracker Figures.”
The Nutcracker statue holds a “progress” flag, which combines the LGBTQ+ flag with others representing transgender individuals, and black and brown people, while the “Pride Santa” features St. Nicholas holding a rainbow Pride flag.
Also available for online purchase is the “Love is Love” ornament.
Fox News host Jesse Watters claimed on his show last week that the decorations “make Christmas fun for kids.”
His guest on Thursday’s show, swimmer Riley Gaines, also spoke out against the merchandise.
“Why do they keep insisting on this? Who are they trying to appeal to?
“Because despite what the media portrays or how politicians vote, this does not represent the vast majority of this country, in fact the world’s feelings on this issue.”

Consumer Research also included Target in a “Woke Alert” for Black Friday and Cyber Monday, saying the retailer “continues to support the wake-up policy, even after the overwhelming response to their Pride Month line, which includes LGBTQ+ items aimed at children and baby too.”
The conservative Media Research Center, meanwhile, slammed the display in a blog post saying, “leave it to the woke mobs running Target to show how big of a fool they are once again.”
The Post has reached out to Target for comment.

The nearly 14% drop in value for blue-chip stocks roughly translates to a $10.1 billion loss in valuation to just $64.2 billion for Target.
It represents the retailer’s lowest share price in nearly three years.
The last time the company saw a fall of nearly this much was in 2022 after shares pared following an unprecedented surge during the COVID pandemic.
