Taylor Lautner has corrected fans once again on the correct way to pronounce his family name. The actor blamed the mispronunciation because he never bothered to correct it all this time.
Lautner recently reunited with ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift for the debut of his video for “I Can See You.” Before the singer introduced Lautner on stage, she said he was a “positive force” in her life in 2010.

Taylor Lautner Reveals Correct Name Pronunciation

During a recent appearance on “The Unplanned Podcast with Matt & Abby,” Taylor Lautner revealed that fans have been mispronouncing his last name for years. The “Twilight” star shared that the correct way to pronounce Lautner is actually “Lowt-ner” and not “Lawt-ner.”

When his host expressed shock at the actual pronunciation, Lautner was blamed for letting the mispronunciation slide for so long. He said, “It’s my fault no one knows what it’s called because I haven’t corrected anyone in decades. I’ve never in an interview or anything stopped anybody and said, ‘This isn’t Lawt-ner, this is Lowt-ner.’”
The actor explained, he never considered the mispronunciation as a big issue, even now. He said, “I don’t care. Laht-ner. Lawtner. Lowt-ner. It’s all the same thing.”
He Recently Reunited With Taylor Swift’s Ex

Lautner recently made headlines for reuniting with ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift. The “Twilight” star was a surprise guest at the singer’s performance in Kansas City, Missouri, as part of her Eras Tour. He was on hand to help Swift debut the video for “I Can See You,” which she features.
Actors Presley Cash and Joey King were also featured in the music video and were present at the debut. Lautner and Swift’s reunion comes amid the production of “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version),” a re-recording of the original 2010 album. The album features the song “Back to December,” which was inspired by Swift and Lautner’s past romantic relationship.
Ex-Couples Share Kind Words For Each Other
Before she introduced him to her fans and the stage, Swift shared some sweet words about Lautner. He said, “He was a very positive force in my life when I was making the Speak Now album, and I’d like to say he did every action you see in the music video.”
The “Wildest Dreams” singer also said Lautner and his wife are now “some of my best friends,” which is funny and convenient since all three are named Taylor. When he finally took the stage, Lautner thanked Swift for her kind words and also spoke well of the Grammy award-winning singer.
He said, “I have great respect for you. Not just for your singer, songwriter, entertainer – but really for your human. You are friendly, humble, kind and I am honored to know you.” The former couple’s reunion drew applause and cheers from fans at the show and on social media.
They Recreated the Famous Spider-Man Meme
After the show, Swift and Lautner posted a post showing them and his wife, Taylor Dome Lautner. A photo shows the trio recreating the famous Spider-Man meme, where the three identical spider-men point at each other in confusion. Lautner captioned his post, “The secret is out! Tonight is very wild.”
They recreated the photo to joke about the irony of the trio having Taylor as their first name. The famous meme is from season 1 of the 1960 Spider-Man cartoon and has been recreated by many celebrities. In 2022, Spider-Man actors Tom Holland, Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield recreated the meme while promoting “Spider-Man: No Way Home,”
Taylor Dome also shared a photo of herself, Lautner, and Swift, as they beamed brightly at the camera. He included a photo of memories of when he first met the “You Belong With Me” singer in 2010, which has gone viral on social media several times.
He captioned the post, “The Tale of Three Taylors?Everything @taylorlautner said last night on stage was true. @taylorswift you’re not only one of the most talented people to ever walk this earth (really don’t think there’s anything you can’t do) but you’re also one of the kindest people.”
