Taylor Swift is working hard to make midnight a little brighter until October 21st!
October 21 marks ten days before one of the spookiest holidays of the year, and this year the date belongs to Ms. Swift; ‘Swifties’ have definitely booked a day to celebrate the release of Swift’s tenth album “Midnights!”
This evening Swift continued to build anticipation for the record by giving fans a glimpse of how the album came to fruition when she posted a behind-the-scenes look on her social media accounts.
Swift is no stranger to bringing her fans along for the recording process; his critically acclaimed 2020 “folktale” album is the subject of a documentary, available for streaming on Disney+. “Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions” chronicles Swift’s journey recording a surprise LP during the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Swift reunited in person for the first time since recording the album with The National’s Aaron Dessner, who collaborated on various “folklore” songs and also served as a producer on the record, along with Jack Antonoff. Antonoff is also regularly featured in documentaries and can be seen briefly in Swift’s new behind-the-scenes reel!
Antonoff has become one old fixtures in Swift’s recording studio dynamic since her famous pop-crossover album, “1989.”
What We Know About ‘Midnights’ So Far
Swift’s new reel is the latest in a string of details she’s revealed on social media since announcing the album’s existence late last month.
The audience at the MTV Video Music Awards erupted during his acceptance speech for his ‘Video of The Year’ win for the short film “All Too Well (Taylor’s Version)” when he revealed the era of “Midnights” is upon us! He teased that more information about the album would arrive at midnight after the ceremony, and he did deliver!
The “Midnights” cover art was later tweeted along with photos from the album’s official photo shoot.
Easter eggs surrounding the album’s content have been circulating in the media ahead of the album’s official announcement! Following our initial announcement of the record, a previously unknown source has spoken to The Sun and revealed some potential factors regarding the album’s 13 tracks.
The source hinted that “Midnights” will satisfy Swifties’ desire for a 4-1-1 surrounding her relationship with possible fiance Joe Alwyn, and also revealed there could be some collaborations on the record.
“Taylor is enjoying the process of playing around with a new sound and is ready to showcase a variety of genres on her next album, which will surprise her fans,” the source told the outlet.
The source also discussed the possibility that “Midnights” will contain many collaborations with fellow female musicians.
“He recently invited some friends to write with him and the songs they came up with reminded his team of Stevie Nicks and Joan Armatrading,” the source said.

Hours after Swift posted a video on both her Instagram and TikTok detailing how four different “Midnights” covers form a clock when put together, she gave Swifties a few moments when she posted a compilation of clips featuring various elements of the “Midnights” recording.
The compilation, which doesn’t contain any audio that could potentially give away anything significant about the album, features glimpses of Swift and Antonoff coming up with song ideas.
Eagle-eyed fans will spot different colored vinyl shots in a split second, which may correspond to four different editions of “Midnights”. Target is also set to release an exclusive edition of their own album, lavender!
