On Friday morning, social media started buzzing with the news that the “Anti-Hero” singer would be making his feature film directorial debut using a script he wrote.

The “Love Story” singer has already written, directed and starred in several of her music videos, including “The Man.” He recently released the 14-minute “All Too Well: The Short Film,” which premiered at the 2022 Tribeca Film Festival and the Toronto Film Festival earlier this year.
The short film, which is based on a 10-minute version of her hit song, “All Too Well” from Rednya (Taylor Version), is also one of this year’s eligible short film submissions for the 95th Academy Awards.
Taylor’s feature film debut is coming from Searchlight Pictures, which includes her original script (via Hollywood Reporter). Searchlight presidents David Greenbaum and Matthew Greenfield released a statement praising Taylor’s vision. “Taylor is a once-in-a-generation artist and storyteller,” they said. “It has been a genuine joy and privilege to work with him as he embarks on this exciting and new creative journey.”
