Taylor’s fans will have to wait a while to see the singer perform again in Rio as “extreme” temperatures have caused her to postpone her upcoming performance.

The singer took to her Instagram story to make the announcement, writing, “I’m writing this from my dressing room at the stadium. The decision has been made to postpone tonight’s show due to the extreme temperatures in Rio.”

Taylor’s words came after a video went viral on social media, showing the singer singing along with fans asking for water at her final show in Rio.

A video from Taylor’s concert in Rio shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, shows the singer ordering staff to get dehydrated fans water.

In one clip posted online, Taylor is seen pointing to a section where fans are chanting water. He said, “There are people who need water, here. So whoever is responsible for giving them that, please come and make sure that happens.”

Another viral video from his concert at X shows the “Style” singer once again showing fans in need of water and help.

Taylor can be heard saying, “Sorry, it’s really hot, so if someone says they need water when it’s this hot, they really need it. We don’t have to chant, that’s fine. But, we just need to get water to them.”

A fan of Taylor’s, Ana Clara Benevides Machado, died before the start of her performance in Rio.
