After just releasing Speak Now (Taylor Version) last month, fans thought they’d have to wait a while until they could finally hear 1989 (Taylor Version). Luckily, it looks like fans won’t have to wait that long!
On Wednesday night, the “Anti-Hero” singer took to both Instagram and X, formerly known as Twitter, to reveal the release date for his upcoming reissue, which he revealed is his “favorite re-recording” of the four reissued albums that has he done so far!

On Wednesday night, the “Lavender Haze” singer revealed that “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” will be here closer than fans expected. Last year, the 33-year-old singer dropped her tenth studio album, “Midnights,” on October 21, 2022. A little over a year later, on October 27, 2023, fans could finally hear “1989 (Taylor’s). Version).”
“Surprise!! 1989 (Taylor Version) is on its way to you!” the “Love Story” singer wrote in an Instagram post announcing the news. “The 1989 album changed my life in so many ways, and it fills me with excitement to announce that my version is coming out on October 27th. If that wasn’t enough, the “Look What You Made Me Do” singer is still generating excitement for the Eras Tour. Currently, he’s playing six sold-out shows in Los Angeles, and it seems like every celebrity in Hollywood is showing up to post pictures of the event themselves.
Tickets for The Eras Tour are notoriously hard to come by, but luckily, the “You Belong With Me” singer will be returning to North America after he’s done touring Europe, Asia, Australia and Latin America. On August 3, he announced via social media that he would be returning for the final dates of his North American tour with special guest Gracie Abrams.

The show kicks off in Miami Florida in October 2024 before ending up in Canada for six shows in Toronto at the end of November.
Unfortunately, this news disappointed some of his Canadian fans, who felt that the six shows in Toronto did not cover Canada enough to give all Canadians a chance to see him perform. Even Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau got on the X to ask the “Bad Blood” singer to perform in Canada, using the title of one of his most popular songs, “Cruel Summer.”

On July 5, Taylor Swift announced that she will be adding new European tour dates for the summer of 2024 with Paramore as her special guests. While many of his UK and European fans were excited, Justin Trudeau was disappointed to hear that he would not be coming to Canada.
“It’s me, hi. I know places in Canada would love to have you. So, don’t make summer cruel again. We hope to see you soon,” he wrote on Twitter. Although he will be making a stop in Toronto, fans are hoping he will add more dates to his already packed schedule!
