The soldier posted a photo of his “friend Nick” on Instagram in full uniform. He bent down with his back to the camera to show the words written on the back of the uniform. “I know this story is coming out, so I want to say my part first to get the most out of it and encourage others to take action,” she began her lengthy post.
“Like most people, I am deeply moved by what I have seen happen in Ukraine over the past year. I want to help. When I heard about the International Legion of Ukraine, I knew I was going, and I went to the embassy to register the next day.”
The 28-year-old is far from a traditional soldier; she is an actress and socialite from the Kennedy family dynasty.

The grandson of Robert Kennedy also shared that he was very careful about the whole transition. “I told one person here where I was, and I told one person there my real name. I don’t want my family or friends to worry, and I don’t want to be treated differently there,” he said, admitting that he helped where he could while he was there.
“Coming in, I had no previous military experience and wasn’t a great shot, but I could carry heavy stuff and learn quickly. I am also willing to die there. So they soon agreed to send me to the northeast.” Kennedy didn’t want to be there long, enough time to meet great and brave people.

The model, who dated Taylor Swift in 2012, humbly believes that what he has done is small compared to what he sees many people around him risk.
“My time in Ukraine was not long but I saw a lot and I felt a lot. I like being a soldier, more than I expected. It is scary. But life is easy, and the reward for finding courage and doing good is great.”
From the post, it sounds like his time in Ukraine was forcibly cut short. “My friends over there know why I have to go home,” he wrote mysteriously without giving his followers a reason. “I know I’m lucky to have made it back, but I’ll also take all the risks we’ve taken again,” he said bravely.

Kennedy wrote, “This war, like all others, was terrible. The people I met were the bravest I have ever known. My fellow legionnaires — who came from different countries, backgrounds, ideologies — were true freedom fighters. ”
He is very vocal about his family’s passion and their years of fighting for the underclass. As for the Ukrainians, Kennedy wrote, “I know, many of them have lost everything in their long struggle against the oligarchy, and towards a democratic system. They know this is not a war between equals, it is a revolution.”
He ended his message by encouraging his followers and others to help if they can. “I would only urge you to help in your personal capacity. Join the legion, help on the border, or send medical supplies. Every day, someone there sacrifices everything for lasting peace. They cannot be asked to act alone.”
