Teacher molested 15-year-old boy in her car, was worried she wouldn’t be his ‘first’: court docs

A Louisiana teacher is accused of sending nude photos of a 15-year-old boy, touching him inappropriately in her car with her toddler, and telling the teenager she was worried he would lose her virginity, according to authorities.

Tatum Hatch, 32, was arrested Wednesday after he and the teenager exchanged lewd messages for about a year and a half in which he suggested she come through his bedroom window to have sex with him, court documents allege.

About a year ago, the couple met near the victim’s home, where Hatch allegedly touched the boy’s genitalia while the baby was in the car, court documents said, KTVE reported.

The educator also allegedly told the teenager another time he was afraid he would find someone else to be “the first” after the boy told him he was afraid, the station reported.

The alleged relationship exploded when the victim’s father found out and called the police.

The boy later showed investigators Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office messages on Instagram between him and the teacher, who resigned from his job in late December when the investigation first began, KTVE reported.

The victim also claimed Hatch posted a nude selfie, but the photos disappeared because she used vanish mode on Instagram.

The nude photos were discovered after a forensic download was performed, court documents said.

Hatch allegedly admitted to law enforcement in mid-December that he spoke with the boy via Instagram, but did not answer some questions because he feared he would lose his children, the outlet reported.

He faces charges of soliciting computer assistance from a minor.

Hatch left his job at West Monroe High School on Dec. 26 after he was placed as head of administration on Dec. 15, the Ouachita Parish school board reportedly said.
