Jenelle Evans Begins Divorce Proceedings Against David Eason
MEGAEvans has started proceedings to separate from Eason, 35, after six years of marriage. According to legal records, the former “Teen Mom 2” star filed a court complaint to “separate” from her husband amid significant legal issues surrounding her 14-year-old son.
In the filing, the reality personality criticized Eason and highlighted his erratic behavior, including his admission of killing their pet dog, as well as his ongoing legal troubles stemming from allegations of assault on the 14-year-old.
According to one report, the separation filing reportedly addressed his alleged “refusal to work” and excessive spending of his income. Evans claimed there were text exchanges with him that he considered “criminal conversations.”
‘Disruptive Behavior’
The legal papers, filed on February 23, assert that the couple officially separated on February 16, “with the intention of making the separation permanent,” according to online reports.
“Throughout the parties’ marriage, the defendant has exhibited disturbing and sometimes harassing behavior toward the plaintiff,” the document states. “In May 2019, the Defendant shot and killed the family’s pet French Bulldog Nugget in front of the young children,” referring to their 7-year-old daughter.
As a result, Evans asserted that Eason’s actions in killing the family pet led to “Columbus County Department of Children Services, DSS initiating proceedings against the parties and taking into custody the aforementioned minor.”
Evans recounted the most recent incident, stating, “On or about September 28, 2023, a report was made to a medical professional by the plaintiff’s oldest minor child.”
He indicated that following the Sheriff’s Office investigation, Eason “was later charged with child abuse and felony assault by strangulation.”
Jenelle Evans Claims Lack of Support From David Eason Since Their Split
MEGAAccording to legal documents, Evans claims that Eason, who she insists now lives on his boat, has neglected to check in or ask about their daughter Ensley.
“[David] had spent his days drinking alcohol at a bar near the marina,” he claimed as reported by Sun.
Additionally, Evans mentioned that David had refused to give her access to their mailbox keys, resulting in her inability to retrieve her son Jace’s prescriptions, thereby “putting the young child at risk for adverse health effects.”
Evans also slammed her estranged husband for leaving their marital home and abandoning their 16-year-old daughter Maryssa.
Court documents allegedly state that “[David] did not develop a plan to ensure that her two young children were cared for and provided for [Jenelle] zero support and assistance with any minor at this time.”
Evans says she needs Maryssa out of the house so she can focus on Jace, “especially since [he] has just been forced into DSS custody for alleged domestic violence by the defendant.”
