“Teen Mom” Jenelle Evans’ husband, David Eason, is in deeper trouble with the law as his child abuse charges grow more serious.
Eason, who was initially charged with misdemeanor child abuse in relation to his stepson Jace, is now facing additional felony charges for allegedly strangling the 14-year-old.

More than three months after Evans and Eason were investigated for the safety of the teenager who ran away from home on three separate occasions, authorities have updated Eason’s charges.

According to reports, the reality television star is now facing a felony charge, meaning the 35-year-old faces one misdemeanor count of child abuse and one count of felony assault by strangulation. If found guilty, this could result in a long prison sentence for Evans’ husband.
Recall that the controversial couple got legal attention when Jace ran away from their home for the third time in September. The teenager allegedly slipped out the window and ran into the woods. Unfortunately, when he was found, authorities found “visible marks” on his neck and arms.
In a police report filed following the incident, it was revealed that the 14-year-old complained to her grandmother, Barbara Evans – who now has temporary custody of her – that she was being physically abused at the hands of her stepfather.
“He [Barbara] advised that he had spoken to him [Jace] early evening when he called from an unknown number and told her about being attacked by David Eason and she ran away and hid,” the report read.
Other reports claimed there was video footage of the attack, exacerbating Eason’s condition. Despite the disturbing accusations against Eason, Evans remains a devoted wife, vowing that her husband will never harm her child. The “16 and Pregnant” star described the saga as a ploy by the police to accuse her husband of not wanting to do a thorough investigation.

“You would think the Police wouldn’t do a biased police investigation,” he lamented. “They did not conduct interviews, did not ask for any information from the parents. This looks like a very one-sided situation like every time before.”
