Jenelle Evans ‘Afraid of the Dark’ After Home Invasion
The ‘Teen Mom’ star kicked off her story time by telling fans, “Yes, I’m officially afraid of the dark!” The reality star looked somber, wearing a brown tank top and sitting in her bedroom, as she told fans that Saturday marked exactly one week since intruders broke into her home.

The “16 and pregnant” star explained that she was alone with her three children when the incident happened. “I finally fell asleep at about 12:30 last Saturday. And then at about one o’clock in the morning, my doorbell rang,” he recalled.
Evans noted that despite the ringing of the bell, she did not wake up until her two large dogs began barking excessively from the laundry room. Upon entering the laundry room to find out what was going on, she looked out the back door to see a man who was not her husband.
“I don’t know who he is. He is a random stranger. Then my heart sank,” said an emotional Evans. Afterwards, she ran to check on her 14-year-old son and told him about the invasion that was taking place. However, when they turned around, they saw the thief slamming the back sliding door.
“He was there groping her. He pulled as hard as he could…at my back door. I sat there terrified! I ended up calling 911…It was the scariest conversation I’ve ever had with 911 in my life.”
The 32-year-old admitted that he was so scared during the incident that he started sobbing like a baby. Unfortunately, the male intruder was able to break the lock on Evans’ sliding door. However, he could not access his house because he used wood for the sliding glass door.
As for how he tried to manage the situation, the North Carolina native admitted he held his gun throughout the attempted break-in. However, he doesn’t want to use it or turn the incident into “a more traumatic event,” especially with his 14-year-old son Jace witnessing the whole thing.
Evans said the intruder eventually left but not without apologizing to him that he didn’t mean to be there before fleeing through the woods. The mother-of-three who spoke about living on a 10-acre plot in the middle of the country insists she has no one to help her.

Fortunately, the authorities showed up soon after and the home invasion was being investigated. Evans informed his fans that he had dashcam footage of the break-in and a photo of the intruder’s face that he hoped could be released on the internet.
“I need you to do your thing, TikTok,” she declared before opening up about the PTSD symptoms she suffered following the incident. “I got up in the middle of the night making sure I checked everything,” Evans said, holding back tears.
To end the petrified story, Evans assured his fans that the intruders did not take anything from his house or barn. However, she said the male attacker tried to approach her before he stopped once he saw his teenage son. Evans, who said she is recovering from the incident with her son, promised to give her followers more updates on the situation.
