Teen pilot killed in Australia plane crash: ‘It doesn’t look good’

A teenage pilot has been killed when the light aircraft he was flying crashed in south-west Sydney, destroying the plane.

The 16-year-old boy reportedly lost contact with air traffic control shortly after radioing for permission to land about 3pm on Wednesday, near Camden in Sydney’s south-west.

Another pilot flying overhead saw the debris and called it in.

“I think we’ve got a plane on the ground here Dennis … It’s not looking good,” the co-pilot was heard saying in radio audio obtained by Nine.

“Dude, it doesn’t look like an airplane, unfortunately.”

Emergency services were called to Brownlow Hill Loop Rd in Brownlow Hill following reports a Cessna plane from a nearby flight school had crashed.
