Thrilling police dashcam footage captures Texas state troopers reaching nearly 150 mph during a high-speed car chase to chase down a 15-year-old driver carrying five illegal immigrants.
A two-minute video, posted on X by the Texas Department of Public Safety this week, showing the fleeing muscle car flying through a US Border Patrol checkpoint with police in pursuit on the night of Nov. 7.
At times the car sped off and was almost out of sight, but at others it was so slow that it looked like the driver was going to cut off the soldiers before taking off again.
The chase even went through a construction zone.
At one point, the driver stopped and let three of the migrants jump out and into the brush before speeding off again with the troopers still in pursuit.
The teenager, whose name has not been released, then drove through a border patrol checkpoint in Falfurrias before troopers were able to install a flat tire strip and finally stop the car — with the teenager thrown to the ground and handcuffed, the video shows.
“The teenager from Palmview was arrested & charged with evasion & human trafficking,” Lt. Chris Olivarez, a spokesman for the department, wrote in an online post.
“Five illegal immigrants were detained & referred to the US Border Patrol,” said Olivarez, who described the legged teenager as a “15-year-old smuggler.”

According to WKATU-News, a police chase on US-281 on Nov. 7 reached up to 147 mph.
