Teens tossed from Boston Sephora after being accused of using makeup for blackface

A group of teenage girls were caught on camera allegedly trying out dark make-up to do blackface inside a Boston Sephora, with a member of staff slamming their companions for the “deeply offensive” act.

The group of three girls were seen in a viral TikTok video trying on makeup testers at a Sephora store in the Prudential Center, with two of them covering their faces with cosmetics aimed at darker skin tones.

Temi Ojora, a University of Southern California track and field athlete who filmed the girls in the now-private video, described the scene as “absolutely disgusted and disturbed.”

“A group of teenage girls and their mothers come in and go to the makeup section to apply samples for blackface while laughing and making animal noises,” Ojora wrote.

“This is the kind of thing that ruins jobs, college acceptance, not to mention how offensive this is,” the staffer said.

The guard walked away, appearing to fire the employee. Ojora claimed that after that, the chaperone and one of the girls confronted him and asked him to delete the video.

The adult guard and the three girls have not been publicly identified.

Sephora condemned the group’s behavior, stating that they had been told to leave the store because of their unacceptable behavior.

“We are deeply disappointed by the behavior of these shoppers at our Prudential Center location, and as such, they are being asked to leave our premises,” the company said in a statement. “Under no circumstances is this type of behavior acceptable at Sephora.”

The Boston store did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.

The incident in Boston comes amid a “Sephora kid” craze on TikTok that captures teens and pre-teens rummaging through beauty stores and bullying staff with “mean girl antics.”

Employees for the beauty chain have also spoken out about dealing with young customers, accusing them of deliberately messing up stores and make-up displays.
