Tekashi 6ix9ine Shares Thoughts On Kanye West’s Anti-Semitic Remarks

Tekashi 6ix9ine is speaking out on Ye’s behalf amid the rapper’s latest controversy.

The past few days have been nothing short of tumultuous for Ye — formerly known as Kanye West — as he has faced public anger and backlash from critics and related business partners following his anti-Semitic remarks.

In fact, the store has decided to stop selling its apparel, with Adidas announcing the end of its $1.5 billion deal with the “Praise God” rapper. However, it seems all hope is not lost, as he may have found an ally in 6ix9ine.

Tekashi 6ix9ine Speaks Out About Ye Amidst Racial Controversy

While 6ix9ine and Ye may not have been seen together in public recently, the pair share a warm friendship. So when the “KOODA” rapper appeared on Andrew Tate’s “Tate Speech” podcast, he let the world know that he stands with the Chicago artist despite his controversial post. The 26-year-old began by referring to the father-of-four as a “wolf” who “stands in business.” He added:

“I love Kanye. I like what he stands for, and he does what he wants. When there’s billionaires, trillionaires, billionaires in your ear, and they say, ‘Kanye, this is not respectable.’ He works alone. He works so high that he doesn’t have to bow to a dollar.”

6ix9ine’s sentiments may have something to do with the fact that he and the “Four Five Seconds” hitmaker came close to working on a project as recently as January of this year. Speaking on the matter, the “Supervillain: The Making of Tekashi 6ix9ine” star recounted:

“We stayed at the Nobu Hotel in Malibu. He lives in a hotel a block from his house. He only works on music, but it’s not what I want to work on. I respect him [sic] creative genius, but I won’t do something I don’t want to do.”

As for the controversy that followed Ye, you will remember that Instagram blocked his account after he made some anti-semitic comments. The record producer, however, didn’t stop there as he took to Twitter to write:

“I’m a bit sleepy tonight, but when I wake up, I’ll face death 3 [sic] On the JEWS. The funny thing is I can’t actually be Anti-Semitic because black people are actually Jews too. You have played with me and tried to blackmail anyone who opposes your agenda.”

The tweet has since led to Ye reportedly losing his billionaire status and demands from critics to pull his songs from streaming platforms. Despite the heat, the 45-year-old made no effort to correct his mistake and backtrack on his comments. If anything, he stands firmer in his opinion, according to a report from US Weekly. While he was with Piers Morgan on October 19, “Dark Fantasy” said:

“I will apologize to the people I hurt with ‘death cheats’ [comments]. I think I caused hurt and confusion. And I’m sorry for the families of people who had nothing to do with the trauma I went through and I use my platform where you say hurt people hurt people. I’m hurt.”

Although the apology seemed to come from a good place, Ye showed no hesitation in replying “absolutely not” when Morgan asked him if he regretted making the anti-semitic remark just minutes earlier.

6ix9ine Faces Legal Challenge After Skipping Shows

In April, The Blast obtained legal papers showing that 6ix9ine was sued for millions of dollars after he allegedly failed to show up at a certain concert in Hollywood, California.

According to the document, a company called Streammusic claims that it made a deal with rapper “FEFE” to perform in a private location in Los Angeles. The company, in a filing, claimed that they reached an agreement, including paying an advance of $150,000 in August 2021.

The newspaper stated that 6ix9ine allegedly agreed to “perform two music concerts,” and that Streammusic was given access to stream live audiovisual broadcasts of the shows.

The “Gummo” songstress was also supposed to promote the concert through her Instagram page, including posting a “promotional video” on her Stories and feed. Unfortunately, the rapper failed to live up to his offer, haunting the company and pocketing $150,000. The company is seeking $2 million in damages.
