Tekashi 6ix9ine To Be Arraigned On Domestic Violence Charges In Dominican Republic

Tekashi 6ix9ine’s trouble with the law continued in 2024 when the rapper was held in prison in the capital Santo Domingo.

The booking of the artist “GOOBA” involved with the law is on charges of domestic violence, an incident that took place in the Dominican Republic. Authorities arrested him on Wednesday, January 17, with a hearing scheduled for the following day to determine his fate.

Inside Tekashi 6ix9ine’s Domestic Violence Allegations & Issues With The Law

Dominican officials revealed the rapper, whose real name is Daniel Hernández, had been arrested on charges of domestic violence. However, they did not elaborate on the incident but stated that the entertainer is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday, January 18.

At the hearing, a judge will decide whether 6ix9ine will remain in jail or be released on bond while the domestic violence investigation continues. His latest legal trouble comes three months after he was accused of assaulting a local music producer last October.

The rapper was also accused of using violent gangs as “personal attack squads;” however, he escaped prison after testifying against the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods, which operated on the US East Coast, according to the Associated Press. In August 2023, he was arrested in Florida for speeding and had a traffic ticket.

According to court documents, 6ix9ine “was going 135 mph in a 65 mph zone on a Florida expressway before he was ticketed for speeding.” Citations for unregistered vehicle and failure to have auto insurance were also issued.

As noted, the hip-hop star’s arrest is linked to several traffic tickets he allegedly failed to pay in June. A judge issued a warrant for his arrest when he failed to attend a court date to address the ticket issue.

Following his arrest, 6ix9ine was taken to the Palm Beach County Jail before being released on $2,000 bail. Before this run-in with the law, he was involved in a legal dispute with a tattoo artist over alleged “heroin-related statements.”

Tekashi 6ix9ine Injured In Gym Attack

Last year, 6ix9ine made some headlines for his legal troubles; however, an incident landed him in the hospital. A group of men brutally attacked her in March while she was alone in a South Florida LA Fitness sauna.

The “Get The Strap” hitmaker’s attorney, Lance Lazzaro, shared the unfortunate news in a statement. According to the legal practitioner, his client did nothing to warrant a surprise attack from the man. Still, the group threw enough punches to send 6ix9ine to the hospital.

Even if the performer tries to fight back, the odds are against him, and he barely defends himself against the group. The fight ended after gym staff heard the commotion and alerted the authorities and emergency services.

Pictures from the hospital show 6ix9ine with a swollen face and a cut near his cheek, while other sources say he suffered more injuries to his ribs, jaw and back. A video of the violent incident also went viral on social media, showing two men punching and kicking the artist as he lay on the floor of the gym’s bathroom.

In another clip, the 27-year-old has blood running down his face as he leaves the bathroom and walks into the gym’s central area.

It is unclear whether the incident is related to his past legal problems; however, it happened a few days after he physically confronted a contestant in the quarterfinals of the World Baseball Classic at LoanDepot Park, Miami.

Young Rapper Takes Back Kanye West’s Anti-Semitic Statements

Speculation about why 6ix9ine was beaten up at the gym took over the internet, with some wondering if it had anything to do with his opinion on Kanye “Ye” West’s anti-Semitic remarks.

The rapper appeared on Andrew Tate’s “Tate Speech” podcast in 2023, where he described West as a “wolf” who “stands in the business.” He raved about his love for the older artist, emphasizing that he loved everything he represented and admired how he did “what he wanted.”

“When there’s a millionaire, a trillionaire, a billionaire in your ear, and they say, ‘Kanye, this is not respectable,’” 6ix9ine said, claiming Ye had done so much to avoid “bowing to a dollar. “

Fans may remember West becoming famous after sharing his dislike of Jews in interviews and on social media. Making matters worse, he tweeted: “I’m a little sleepy tonight, but when I wake up, I’m going to die con 3 On the JEWS.”

His antisemitic actions provoked various consequences from famous brands such as Adidas, severing their business relationship with the “Jesus Walks” rapper and many calling for it to be canceled.
