The Tennessee teacher accused of raping a 12-year-old student was arrested again Thursday after he was caught texting the victim – warning her that she would “regret” reporting it to the police.
Alissa McCommon, 38, was arrested at her Covington home and later charged with stalking, harassment and aggravated coercion — just three weeks after she was arrested on rape charges, according to the city’s police department.
The former fourth-grade teacher was released after posting a $25,000 bond on the condition that she cease any communication with the boy she is accused of raping in 2021.
McCommon attempted to breach the parameters by allegedly texting the 12-year-old from a previously unknown phone number.
“Evidence showed McCommon sent text messages to the victim, using a specific code word that the juvenile recognized as a code word that McCommon would previously use to confirm that the juvenile was alone, often before sending nude photos on SnapChat,” Covington police said in a statement. .
The mother of two then sent a message warning the boy that she would “regret doing this.”

The victim immediately reported the harassment to the police, who arrested the teacher the same day.
“Not only is McCommon’s actions appalling, but CPD is also concerned about this clear violation of his bond conditions. Due to the nature of the communication, we are concerned that others may have been contacted,” Covington Police Chief Donna Turner said.
