Terence Lewis was born on 10 April 1975 (43 years old; age as in 2018) in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. He was an excellent student during his school days but his parents could not afford to finance his education. He then began teaching aerobics to women to earn money for his lessons. He wanted to be an actor but after that, he decided to choose dance as his career and is now a famous choreographer. He was the first Indian to represent India in Vienna, Austria and received the danceWEB Europe Scholarship.

Career
Terence Lewis completed his schooling at St. Teresa’s Boys High School, Mumbai. He holds a senior secondary level in Microbiology from the College of St. Xavier, Mumbai. During his school days, he used to do theater.
He obtained a diploma in Hotel Management from the Institute of Hotel Management, Dadar, Mumbai. Lewis is a graduate in Psychology & Sociology from the University of Mumbai. He also attended a Fitness Certification Course from the Progressive Fitness USA branch in Mumbai.
She received training in Jazz, Ballet, and Contemporary dance from the “Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater”, New York and the “Martha Graham Center of Contemporary Dance, New York.” After that, he started working as a choreographer and choreographed several Bollywood films such as “Lagaan” (2001), “Jhankaar Beats” (2003), and “Naach” (2004). He also appeared in the popular music video Badan Pe Sitare (Remix of an old song by Harry Anand) for DJ Hot Remix Vol.3.
Terence won the American Choreography Award in 2002 for his choreography for the film songs “Lagaan” along with Ganesh Hegde, Vaibhavi Merchant, Saroj Khan, and Raju Khan. He has also choreographed numerous music videos, stage shows, commercials, national & international dance competitions, Broadway Westend musicals and feature films.
In 2010, he participated in the popular reality game show “Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi Season 3.”
