A disturbing new video released by Palestinian terrorists on Monday shows an emaciated Israeli hostage sobbing and criticizing Israel’s prime minister while pleading for a new round of prisoner exchanges.
Farmer Elad Katzir, 47, appeared in a propaganda video released by Islamic Jihad, identifying himself as one of dozens of Israelis abducted from Kibbutz Nir Oz on Oct. 7 and saying he was in the group’s custody as of Jan. 5.
In the video, Katzi blamed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for his month-long detention in Gaza, the Times of Israel reported.
Katzi’s mother Hanna was released in the November ceasefire agreement, while her father died in the October 7 massacre.
“Aunt Netanyahu, my message to you and all cabinet members. You have left me,” Katzir said in the recording.
“I almost died more than once, it’s a miracle I’m still alive,” he added. “I want to tell my family that I love them so much and I miss them so much.”
Israeli farmer and hostage Elad Katzir appears in a second propaganda video released by the Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorist group.
The hostage can also be seen crying as he claims to have witnessed the death of his friend, Tamir Adar, a service member who was wounded during the Hamas invasion and taken hostage.
Adar’s mother, Yael, confirmed his death Saturday, condemning Israel’s response on Oct. 7 as the reason why her son was injured and arrested while serving in Nir Oz’s emergency squad.
Katzir also called on Israel to end the fighting in Gaza and agree to a new wave of hostage exchanges that would see the freedom of more than 130 people held by Hamas.

This is the second time Katzir has been featured in an Islamic Jihad propaganda video, with the farmer previously shown making similar comments last month alongside fellow hostage Gadi Mozes.
Seen speaking under duress in a December 20 video, Katzir and Mozes are shown pleading with the Israel Defense Forces that they could die at any moment due to Israel’s continued bombardment of Gaza.
Israeli officials have condemned hostage videos released by Hamas and Islamic Jihad as propaganda and “psychological warfare.”
