The beloved actor reportedly passed away due to health issues and is being mourned by his co-star, Terry Crews.

Following the bad news, Crews, who stars in the NBC sitcom alongside Braugher took to Instagram to mourn the precinct’s on-screen captain. “I can’t believe you left so soon. I have had the pleasure of knowing you, laughing with you, working with you, and sharing 8 glorious years of witnessing your irreplaceable talents,” Crews began his tribute.
He continued, “This hurts. You left us too soon. You taught me so much. I will always be grateful for the experience of knowing you. Thank you for your wisdom, your advice, your kindness, and your friendship.”
A heartbroken Crew ended his tribute by extending his “deepest condolences” to the Braugher family during their difficult time. “You show me what a life well lived looks like. Rest In Peace, Andre. I love you. ?.”
Fans were devastated by the news of Braugher’s death and paid their respects in the comments section. “No!! No!! He is irreplaceable!! A genius. What a loss,” one follower wrote.

According to Deadline, Braugher is survived by his wife Ami Brabson, whom he met on the set of “Homicide: Life on the Street,” and their three sons, Michael, Isaiah, and John Wesley. He is also survived by his brother, Charles Jennings, and his mother Sally Braugher.
The late actor Captain Ray Holt rose to fame when he starred alongside Matthew Broderick and Denzel Washington in “Glory.” However, he received critical acclaim for his role as the violent Detective Frank Pembleton in “Homicide: Life on the Street.”
For his outstanding performance, he earned an Emmy in 1998. His character as Captain Holt in “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” later cemented him in the hearts of many.
