Tessa Thompson and Michael B. Jordan have shown their dedication to performing!
The actress, who returned as Bianca Taylor in the recently released “Creed III,” revealed that she and her co-stars had to undergo couple’s counseling to give their best to the audience. He admitted that the act helped them “think about our own relationship” before filming their scenes for the three boxing scenes.
Tessa Thompson And Michael B. Jordan Attend Couples Therapy To Make Their ‘Creed’ Characters Believable
The franchise’s crew and cast first gained a fan base with the debut of “Creed” in 2015, serving as a spin-off from the “Rocky” film series. Fans are increasingly enthralled by the film, which features amateur boxer Adonis “Donnie” Creed — played by Jordan — mentored and trained by Rocky Balboa — played by Sylvester Stallone, a former rival turned friend to Adonis’ father, Apollo Creed, in the following year’s film.
In fact, many who have seen the third installment in the franchise have hailed it as “the best movie ever.” Thompson has now revealed that the stars of the project put more than expected to create a surreal experience for the audience.

During the interview with Censorship29, the “Mississippi Damned” actor revealed that he and Jordan “actually” went to couples therapy together as their characters in preparation for the project. He explained:
“I would say it was an early experience in couples therapy for both of us [personally], but it is as these characters, which is very strange. But I think it reminds us in our personal lives that going to therapy, even when the relationship is good, can be a good thing if you try to sharpen communication and figure out how someone works. It is useful in many relationships.”
Thompson admits that while they’re in character during therapy sessions, she and Jordan “also mirror our own relationship” as they’ve worked together for nearly a decade. During that time, they had seen each other at various points in their “own romantic thing.”
Thanks to that familiarity, the 39-year-old and his co-star “learned things about each other’s lives,” which they “shared and talked about,” so the therapy ended up “being more personal” than they wanted.
“Thor: Love and Thunder” added that the session allowed her and Jordan to “really talk” with a couples therapist and understand the challenges young parents face with their “dreams and aspirations”.
“I think a lot of our growth also parallels the growth of the characters…in terms of the kind of conversations we have together and separately about legacy,” Thompson shared further.
She concluded that her character inspired her to take her mental health seriously, constantly reminding her to “just stay in therapy, go to therapy, talk about your feelings.”
“Black Panther” Cast Makes Directing Debut With Stallone Missing in Action

The Blast recently shared the opinion that in addition to reprising his lead role in the “Creed” series, Jordan is also making his directorial debut with the film. According to the report, when the announcement was made a few years ago, the 36-year-old stated that he had always wanted to try directing, claiming that:
“’Creed III’ was that moment — a time in my life where I grew more confident in who I was, held agency in my own story, matured personally, grew professionally, and learned from Great People like Ryan Coogler, most recently Denzel Washington , and other top-level directors I respect.”
Although he excelled in the role, fans hoped that Stallone would be part of the cast directed by Jordan. In case you missed it, the 76-year-old was written out of the film without any direct reference to his whereabouts – save for a few mentions of his name – for the duration of almost two hours.
While fans were upset about the incident because of how important the cast of “The Lords of Flatbush” was to the entire series, they understood the background. Stallone left the project after he and fellow “Rocky” producer Irwin Winkler had a public fight.
The actor had called out producers in a series of since-deleted Instagram posts over the rights to the “Rocky” franchise, stating that he had the right to access them. This is the first time Stallone has lost an actor after 47 years of playing the lead character.
