Texas Governor Greg Abbott accused the Biden administration of recently cutting the razor wire the Lone Star State had installed in Eagle Pass.
The comments came as Texas officials continue to spar with the White House over the migrant crisis at the Southern border.
Abbott made the announcement on Wednesday afternoon.
“Texas installs razor wire at Eagle Pass to stop illegal crossings,” Abbott explained to X, formerly known as Twitter. “Today Admin Biden CUT that wire, opening the floodgates to illegal immigrants.”
“I am immediately deploying more Texas National Guardsmen to drive out illegal crossings & install more razor wire,” the Republican governor added.
The governor later posted a photo of a letter he sent directly to President Biden in November, and declared that the President’s policies led to “invasions at our borders.”

“We are building border walls, razor wire & marine barriers,” Abbott wrote. “We also expel immigrants.
In July, the Department of Justice (DOJ) sued Texas for installing buoy barriers, designed to deter illegal immigration, in the Rio Grande.
The barrier was developed as part of Abbott’s Operation Lone Star.
In the lawsuit, the DOJ claims that the obstruction impedes the “navigational capacity of United States waters” and that it poses humanitarian, environmental and public safety concerns.

A federal judge initially told Texas to move the buoys, but the US Court of Appeals upheld the decision. The case is still under discussion through the court.
Fox News Digital reached out to Abbott and the White House, but did not hear back.
