A Texas mother is accused of sexually abusing her 10-year-old daughter — and then allegedly arranged for a registered sex offender to join them, police said.
Elizabeth Spaeth, 37, was arrested last month after admitting to having sex with her underage daughter on “multiple occasions,” the San Antonio Express News reported.
Her fiance, Garrett Andrew Bailey, 35, was also charged with sexual abuse of a child on Wednesday after Spaeth told police he gave her permission to join him in abusing his daughter on at least three separate occasions, according to an arrest affidavit.
Along with the couple, police also arrested registered sex offender Jarrod Kirkus, 40, after Snapchat messages revealed Spaeth had contacted him to abuse his daughter and left them at his home alone together, police said.
The troubling case against the trio came to light on August 1, when police responded to a call at the Oak Terrace Apartments.
Inside one of the apartments, police found Kirkus alone with the 10-year-old daughter, with the sex offender being held on a warrant for distribution of child pornography.

He was previously convicted of felony solicitation for aggravated sexual assault, aggravated sexual assault and possession of child pornography, according to Bexar County court records.
When officers realized that there was no connection between Kirkus and the child, their investigation led them to Spaeth, who later admitted that he facilitated the meeting between his daughter and the sex offender.
While in custody, he allegedly admitted to having sex with his daughter several times and contacted Kirkus on Snapchat to join her, to which the sex offender replied, “Sure,” according to the affidavit.

Police said he later admitted Bailey had joined him in the abuse and that he had also sexually assaulted the girl without her mother present.
Bailey’s abuse of the child allegedly began when she was just 8 years old, the affidavit said.
Since Spaeth’s arrest, the 10-year-old girl and another child have been removed from the home.

Spaeth and Bailey are charged with persistent sexual assault of a child, a first-degree felony, along with other felony charges.
Kirkus was charged with possession with intent to promote pornography.
