Authorities in Texas are investigating a domestic violence incident in which they say a woman stabbed her husband and left him for dead before driving their three children into a nearby lake.
Local police and fire rescue responded to a call at 7:48 a.m. Friday from a man who claimed to have been stabbed by his wife, Carrollton Police said in a statement.
Police in nearby Lewisville later responded to reports that a woman – later confirmed to be the wife of the stabbed man – had driven a vehicle into the lake with her three children inside, the media release continued.
The woman and child — ages 8, 9, and 12 — were taken to a hospital, where she was later detained “pending criminal charges.”

One child remains in critical condition, while the other two are stable, police said.
The suspect’s husband is also expected to survive.
When contacted by The Post Friday afternoon, the Carrollton Police Department said the names of the suspect and the victim have not yet been released.
