Clayton Echard and Susie Evans, the latest couple to exit “The Bachelor,” are no more.
At the end of an eventful week on Bachelor Nation, the couple announced their split in an Instagram post, which was shared on both Evans and Echard’s Instagram accounts.
The Blast has been prepared to cover many aspects of their relationship from the beginning, from the couple’s beginnings to their courtship, to their recent decision to go long-distance last month.

According to our report from last month, Echard and Evans have been living in Virginia Beach according to a report from Us Weekly but decided to start a long distance relationship and move to different cities.
Echard discussed their decision in an interview with the “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast, revealing the couple’s decision to keep their relationship alive today.
“We were like, ‘we don’t know if it’s going to be a relationship for a month from here, or if it’s going to be a lifetime, but like, there’s no pressure. Let’s just love each other and be grateful,'” she began the interview.
Echard, who has been the subject of frequent comments during Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia’s recent season finale of “The Bachelorette,” continues to elaborate on their decision to “Not Skinny But Not Fat”
“We’re very, very happy now and in a very good place,” he continued, “but yes, we’re going through it together. Thankfully, he’s on my side and that’s why I can sit here with so much positivity because of him.” (via Us Weekly)
Evans And Echard Reflect On Their Decision To End Themselves
It seems that Echard and Evans have not been in a “very good place” for a long time.
Earlier this afternoon the former couple gave some insight into their decision to separate on Instagram.
“It is with a very heavy heart that we want to share that we have decided to go our separate ways,” the post began, “For anyone who has ever loved, knows that this is a painful decision to make and not to be taken lightly.”
Both acknowledged the inevitable curiosity from Bachelor Nation as their posts continue, “We understand that there will likely be a lot of questions about this decision—social media has definitely been a highlight reel and most of our experiences together have been private because I ‘ surely most can understand. But we will share this- although this past year together has brought us so much joy and so much laughter, there has also been a lot of pain…”
Echard, for her part, has been transparent about some of the pain she’s been dealing with after “The Bachelor” season aired. She then took the many screenshots of hateful direct messages she received on social media and turned them into opportunities for mental health advocacy. (via The Blast)
The Instagram post continued, “We know no healthy relationship comes without its struggles, but we realize we’re not ready for outside forces to hinder our ability to not only let us heal as individuals but also as a couple. We’re both focused on continuing to work on ourselves ourselves, so we can be the best versions of ourselves. This is not an easy time for either of us, but we support each other and hope to see others continue to find happiness and healing. Even though Claysie is gone, we hope our community can support us individually as we move forward with love and respect for one another.”
Several members of Bachelor Nation commented on the former couple’s post, including Nick Viall, who wrote, “Best wishes to both of you” and also included a heart emoji.
Kaitlyn Bristowe wrote, “Here’s to you all,” and also left a heart emoji.
Former ‘Bachelor’ Katie Thurston offered her support, commenting “Supporting you both during what I know is a difficult time right now.”
Evans finished third during Echard’s season after his own elimination. He would later tell Recchia and Windey that he was in love with all three women. Echard’s treatment of his two best contestants would be the target of jokes throughout Windey and Recchia’s reign as ‘Bachelors’.
Echard and Evans poke fun at the frequent mentions via TikTok.
