Early season favorite Christina Mandrell was eliminated from “The Bachelor” on Monday night.
Mandrell wowed Bachelor Nation with her energetic personality and set herself apart from the other ladies in the Bachelor Mansion due to her apparent early relationship with ‘Bachelor’ Zach Shallcross. Shallcross, however, isn’t swayed by the whispers of drama among the women vying for his heart in the house.
The catch? The mastermind behind the Bachelor Mansion drama has allegedly been linked to Mandrell! Several of the women in the house were put off by Mandrell’s apparent attempts to steal the spotlight by constantly bringing up her coveted one-on-one date with the man of the hour.
Once word reached Shallcross, the ‘Bachelor’ quickly put a stop to the ‘spiky’ drama and sent Mandrell packing.
Shallcross, who was first introduced to Bachelor Nation as a contestant vying for Rachel Recchia’s heart on the final season of “The Bachelorette,” has been very open about her views on the franchise’s sense of drama since the beginning. Despite his vocal distaste for drama, some Bachelor Nation viewers are still unhappy with Mandrell’s elimination!
Mandrell Has Been Quiet About His Removal So Far
Mandrell, who is a content creator from Nashville, took to his Instagram last night after his elimination episode aired.
The 27-year-old posted a clip where he shared his thoughts on receiving roses on a one-on-one date, as well as a hot shot of him and Shallcross locking lips!
In last night’s episode, another woman in the house claimed Mandrell deliberately tried to steal the spotlight from Charity Lawson after she received a rose. Mandrell declared that he was “confused” as to why Shallcross refused to give him a second rose.
Mandrell’s Instagram post from last night may not have focused on his elimination, but that didn’t stop fans from thinking about it in the comments!

Nashville merchandiser Christen Whitney doesn’t mince words when sharing her thoughts; “Anyone with eyes could see that was more about Zach not being ready to be a stepfather than a girl feeling insecure.”
Mandrell and Shallcross discussed his daughter Blakely May at length on their first date and the possibility that Shallcross could step into the role of stepfather if their relationship goes to the next level.
The campaign for Mandrell to become the next ‘Bachelor’ has already begun!
“You are the best part of this season!!! Christina for the next single,” commented one fan on Mandrell’s Instagram post.
On Twitter, the buzz about Mandrell’s potential Bachelorette reign is getting louder!
“Omg the bachelorette casting call is for ‘single dads’ does this confirm Christina Mandrell is our next bachelorette,” one wanted to know Ask Bachelor Nation fans.
“yo we don’t sit throjgh [sic] hours of Queen Victoria only to get two episodes of Christina Mandrell. We deserve that villain,” @BachelorBroseph tweeted. Queen Victoria ruled the house during Matt James’ season of “The Bachelor” before taking a second chance at romance on the beach on “Bachelor In Paradise.”
Some viewers were unhappy with contestant Brianna Thorbourne’s decision to let Shallcross know her perspective on Mandrell’s perception of the mansion.
“It’s early in the season for the girls already flirting with Zach. What Christina Mandrell did wasn’t great but it wasn’t enough to start the snitching game this early. You need some real drama if you’re going to play the game,” a tweet fan.
“I usually don’t comment on plans like this,” a tweet audience, “BUT, seeing what Zach brought up by telling a bunch of women early on in the show how he introduced Christina Mandrell to his family just set him up for failure. Most women are cats. He creates conflict. Learn man!”
Shallcross and Mandrell’s big date gave Peter Weber and Madi Prewitt serious vibes when he invited Mandrell to meet his family for a backyard party. Mandrell and Shallcross’ moms finally poured over some Shallcross family photo albums!
Other fans weren’t so happy with Mandrell’s removal that they made a big announcement!

Although Mandrell hasn’t been on the show for long, his legacy in Bachelor Nation seems to have been cemented!
In the preview for last night’s episode, Bachelor Nation saw that he and Shallcross would have a heated discussion about his alleged behavior; A tearful Mandrell would tell Shallcross, he “didn’t want to be the victim” in the situation.
