Moving from Los Angeles to Nashville in 2020, just before the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Galecki expressed how she never really felt comfortable in LA despite living there for three decades.
She shared that she “never felt like an Angeleno,” adding, “and “I’ve tried.”
Galecki continued, “I say that with sadness, not with arrogance. Thirty years is a very long time to live in a city where you are not very comfortable.”

Falling for the first house he visited, with several return visits, he finally sealed the deal at his own residence. “I might have shown my card,” he admitted.
The Galecki residence has a rich history, originating from a log cabin built around “either 1801 or 1811,” with subsequent additions in 1929 and 2012. The end result is a sprawling 12,000-square-foot five-bedroom mansion situated on approx. -about 30 acres. just outside the city limits.
However, as opposed to typical renovations that aim to “make the old new,” Galecki shares that his approach is to preserve historical charm with the newest addition receiving “the most drastic aesthetic transformation.” “Unfortunately, many modern works and materials cannot be compared to a hundred years ago,” he added.
