According to reports, Meghan has emerged victorious from her legal battle with her half-sister Samantha.

The siblings have been embroiled in a legal battle with each other for the past two years over Sanantha’s claims that Meghan has defamed her on several occasions. Throughout that period, the case has gone through several motions from both sides in their favor before now reaching its climax.

Samantha had asked the court to award $75,000 in her suit, but that hope is now gone, as the presiding judge, Charlene Edwards Honeywell, has dismissed the case with prejudice.

Honeywell ruled that the Duchess’s alleged defamation of Samantha was “substantially true based on the evidence judicially cognized.”

The judge also said that Samantha “failed to identify any statements that could support a claim for defamation or defamation by implication at this point, her third attempt to amend her complaint, whether in the book Finding Freedom, the Netflix series Harry & Meghan, or the CBS television interview The defendant and her husband for an hour.”

In making his decision, Honeywell analyzed comments made by Meghan to explain why he ruled in favor of the Duchess.

Regarding Meghan’s comments about her childhood, Honeywell said Meghan’s ex-actress was only talking about what she said when she said she wasn’t close with her half-sister Samantha.

She also shut down Samantha’s claims that Meghan had implied that she was a “liar” and a “fame seeker.” In his ruling, he stated that this was an “unwarranted distortion” of Meghan’s statement

In addition to others, Honeywell said it was “true” that Samantha changed back to Markle’s last name, as Meghan said. Therefore, it is not a defamatory statement based on “exhibits on record.”

The Honeywells wrote: “That the Plaintiff used one last name and then the Markle name shortly after the report of the Defendant’s relationship with Prince Harry was published is true, based on the exhibits in the record, of which the Court has taken judicial notice.”
