Royal expert Jonathan Sacerdoti spoke to Us Weekly and shared that he thinks the Royal family might reconcile with Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan. The reporter said the peace might be temporary, but it was for the sake of the coming coronation of King Charles III.
He stated, “I suspect that some effort is underway to try and make some form of reconciliation … I think because they don’t want to [family tensions] to talk about what happened on that very important day. I think it will be very difficult for them as a family — and more broadly, for the country and the Institution — to forgive what has happened.”
The upcoming coronation has been scheduled for May 6, 2023, which is also Archie’s fourth birthday. King Charles’ wife, Camilla, will also assume her new title as Queen at the coronation.
They Have Opened About Their Time As Royal Seniors

Since Harry and Meghan stepped down from their positions as senior royals in 2020, they have been very open about their experiences. The couple have shared stories from their time as royals in interviews with CBS, a Netflix documentary, and Harry’s recently released memoir, replace.

During Sacerdoti’s conversation with Us Weekly, he also noted that Harry’s statements about his interactions with his family are not a good sign that the reconciliation will last. He said: “I think Harry and Meghan have said they expect an apology, but I don’t think many people agree that it should be.”
Sacerdoti continued, “Some individuals in [Spare] — the king, the queen, and the Prince of Wales — all come out of the book very badly. They were criticized so widely by Harry, criticized so badly in some quarters, that I think they probably feel very sick about this.”
The Oxford alum then explained that the Royal family may have remained silent amid all the criticism because they did not want to provoke Harry and Meghan further. He said the attack was “devastating not only to them emotionally and personally, but to the country because it was effectively an attack on part of the Constitution of Great Britain.”
