There’s No Work For The ‘Workaholics’ Cast After Being Dumped By Paramount+

The movie “Workaholics” is a NO GO!

Paramount+ has decided to let Adam Devine, Blake Anderson and Anders Holm take the next days, weeks, months, basically forever off production.

Take Your Day Off A Bunch of “Workaholics”

The Comedy Central show got a spin-off in 2018 in the form of the “Game Over Man” movie, but Paramount+ is set to make an actual “Workaholics” movie.

The news was first reported by vulture in 2021. The outlet reports “the original cast is set to return for a movie about what it’s like to work through the pandemic.”

Production was set to begin this spring, but days before production was set to begin, Paramount+ dropped a bombshell.

Devine took to Twitter to air his grievances with the streaming platform.

Paramount’s “Workaholics” Movie+ Cans!

“Welp, Paramount + decided to cancel the Workaholics movie. Obviously, this news is the loosest hole. We are supposed to start filming in 5 weeks! P+ told us it didn’t fit their new “global” strategy…We are very disappointed with this decision as we were very excited to…,” he tweeted. “…bring the weird one last time. I’m heartbroken that I can’t work with my best friend anymore. I’m so hurt for the fans, and I’m so hurt for our loyal crew, and other cast members who now have to scramble to find new jobs. We exit to another stream…”

He promises that it’s a “really fun movie” that he hopes will be picked up by other streaming giants.

On January 10, they released the “RIP: The Workaholics Movie” episode of their podcast, “This Matters”.

Anderson insisted, “Nothing can stop us.”

NOTHING CAN STOP THE “WORKAHOLICS” GUYS.

“No matter what they throw at us, we’re going to hang in there,” Devine added. “We have to deal with the elephant in the room. We got a call from our manager, Isacc [Horne]that Paramount+ is pulling a ‘Workaholics’ movie.”

He added that when there are three or more people on a call, “it’s bad news

“So basically they’re saying that the Paramount+ strategy, which is something I don’t know, but apparently they’re saying ‘Workaholics’ isn’t global enough and they want a more global reach,” Devine explained. “Our goal is to get it to Netflix or Hulu or Amazon or any other streamer that thinks we’re worth it.”

The man is reading the table, they have prepared the office and they are “building a stage.”

The acting room was taped, every OG “Workaholics” cast saw it.

Devine said the most frustrating thing was the number of crew members they hired, who were under the impression they were being paid for their time on the film, would never have a salary or work again. They all need to find new jobs.

“That was the worst thing,” he admitted. His fellow actors agreed.

The bad news prompted Anderson to break his “Dry January” goal.

According to a Diversity reports, “sources close to the stream cited production delays that didn’t fit with the company’s current schedule as the reason Paramount+ canceled the film.”
