Thousands of Houthis trample over US, Israeli flags during parade celebrating terror group’s attacks

Thousands of Houthi followers, many of them armed, thronged the Yemeni capital on Monday to hold a march celebrating the terrorist group’s Red Sea attacks on the US and Israel.

Monday marked the latest rally by the Houthis and their supporters in the capital Sanaa, where protesters waved weapons and Palestinian flags in support of the Iran-backed terrorists.

Some protesters also stepped on Israeli and American flags that were being flown to the ground as a sign of solidarity against the Houthi enemy.

The rally was also held to show support for the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas, which has been at war with Israel in Gaza since Hamas launched a sneak attack on Israel on Oct. 7.

The show of unity came as the terrorist group claimed, without any evidence, that it attacked a US Navy ship in the region Monday. American officials immediately denied the allegations.

Houthi military spokesman Brig. Gen. Yahya Saree said the group fired missiles at the USS Lewis B. Puller, a ship that had been a mobile base for Navy operations that seized Iranian-made weapons bound for Yemen, in the Gulf of Aden.

US defense officials said there were no such reports of an attack on the mobile base on Monday.

The popular attacks and protests, which have been ongoing since October 7, have escalated following US-led airstrikes in Yemen this month.

The US and Britain have launched counter-attacks against the group, destroying several Houthi drone and missile sites.

The attack in Yemen aims to eliminate the Houthi military’s ability to attack commercial ships in the Red Sea.

The Biden administration recently reversed the 2021 decision and re-listed the Yemen-based group as a specially designated global terrorist organization.

The terrorist group has denounced the label and continues to launch missiles and drone explosives against ships in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden almost daily in a show of support for Hamas.

The attack has caused disruption in global trade as it directly disrupts key supply routes between Europe and Asia, with the Houthis vowing to continue the offensive until the war in Gaza ends.

The terrorist leader, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, welcomed the fight against the US in mid-January, claiming it would only make the militant group stronger.

“We praise God for this great grace and honor – for us to be in direct confrontation with Israel and America,” he said in a televised statement.
